Footballer Benjamin Mendy has been found not guilty of six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against five women.
The jury has been discharged after failing to reach a verdict on two further charges against the Manchester City player.
Co-accused Louis Saha Matturie, Mendy’s alleged “fixer”, was found not guilty of three counts of rape against two women.
Jurors were unable to reach a verdict on six other counts against him.
The trial has been held at Chester Crown Court since August after 13 women came forward with allegations against the couple.
Mendy will face a new trial in June on the two counts of alleged rape and attempted rape, on which the jury has been unable to decide.
The 28-year-old covered his face with both hands and rocked gently back and forth as the jury foreman read out the unanimous verdicts.
They were handed up Wednesday, but could not be reported until the jury had finished considering the two remaining charges.
Both men denied the charges and said all sexual activity was consensual.
