Anthony Joshua says he would be ready to fight Tyson Fury “in December” after the WBC champion proposed a heavyweight clash at the “Battle of Britain”.
Talks had begun to match Fury, the WBC holder, with Oleksandr Usyk, the Ukrainian who beat Joshua last month to defend the unified WBO, WBA and IBF belts, in an undisputed fight for the heavyweight championship.
But it has been seen that Usyk will not be able to box again this year. It leaves Fury searching for an opponent. He wants it to be former champion Joshua.

“I think you’ve all heard that I’ll be fighting soon in the next few months,” Fury said.
“I think before I announce an opponent I have to do it just in case.
“Anthony Joshua, I know that you just lost a fight against Usyk and that you are currently out of contention, and I would like to give you the opportunity to fight me for the WBC World Heavyweight Championship and the linear championship. in the coming months,” he said in a public address to Joshua.

“You’re coming off a 12-round fight, so you’re fit, you’re ready. I’m giving you a few months’ notice.
“If you’re interested I’ll send you the date and we can talk back. A Battle of Britain for the WBC World Heavyweight Championship.
“Let me know if you’re interested, if not, I’ll select another opponent.”
Fury later repeated his offer to Joshua via Twitter on Monday evening, claiming he had the “date and venue” arranged.
Joshua responded later that night, directing Fury to his management team to discuss a deal.
“Yeah chill,” Joshua posted. “I don’t do online discussions just for influence, so if you really talk about it, shout @258mgt.
“I’ll be ready in December.”
