WhatsApp Features Update: WhatsApp has started rolling out a new privacy feature for all its users. With the help of the new privacy feature, users will be able to hide their profile photos and see them for the last time in the people of their choice. This feature was detected during testing last year and is now being released to everyone. In addition, WhatsApp had recently introduced the feature to transfer chats from Android devices to iPhones. Previously, Android and iOS users used to see the Everyone, My Contacts, and Nobody options in the Last View and Profile Photo privacy settings, but it has now been added as a fourth option, except for my contacts. By clicking on this option, users can select specific contacts whom they do not want to see their profile picture and have last seen.
Process for configuring profile photo privacy
- Open WhatsApp first. Click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner.
- After clicking there, click on the sixth option, Settings.
- Then click the Account option.
- There you will see the Privacy option at the top, click on it.
- In Privacy, you’ll see another Profile photo option.
- When you click on the Profile Photo, you will see 4 options.
- After that, you can choose the option of your choice.
Earlier, if someone’s contact number was saved on the phone, they might see your profile picture, but it will now change.
You can now back up your Android phone data to your iPhone
Earlier this week, WhatsApp implemented support for transferring chat from Android to iOS, although the feature is currently in beta testing and will be implemented soon. To back up all your data, including WhatsApp chats, from your Android phone to your iPhone, you need to download the Move to iOS app on your Android phone.
