Today we wrote about the possibility of a “red mirage,” which would show Republicans in the lead before early votes are counted.
But in some states, the opposite seems to be true.
In Georgia, Democrats appear far ahead, as Democratic-leaning areas report their results earlier.
And in North Carolina, Democrat Cheri Beasley currently leads.
For now, Beasley is ahead of Republican Ted Budd in Transylvania County, a part of Appalachia where Donald Trump was well ahead of Joe Biden in 2020.
And in New Hampshire, Democrat Maggie Hassan is far ahead of Republican Don Bolduc, 67 to 32 percent with five percent of the ballots counted.
The message to take from this is: don’t jump to conclusions just yet.
