A university student has been left terrified after being threatened by robbers brandishing a gun and a large kitchen knife while working at a Melbourne service station.
Video of the incident has been released as police hunt for the men behind the robbery at the Liberty service station on Ballarat Road in Maidstone at around 10.10pm on January 4.
It shows two men approaching the attendant and jumping the service desk.

One man was carrying what appeared to be a gun, while the other had a large kitchen knife and was threatening the attendant.
“They backed the assistant into a corner,” Senior Detective Constable Chris Berzins said.
They demanded cash and cigarettes before filling a bag with cigarettes and vapors.
They were last seen running southbound on Whittaker Street.
Berzins said the incident had been “quite terrifying, especially for the victim”.
“He’s a young student. He’s just working there to put himself through college and he’s right to be scared.”
One of the men is described as being of Caucasian appearance, wearing a tight-fitting dark hood over his head, wearing a high-visibility yellow shirt and aged in his 20s to 25s.

He brandished a firearm and carried a transparent backpack.
The second man is described as Caucasian in appearance wearing a motorcycle helmet covering his face, wearing an orange high-visibility jacket and aged in his 20s to 25s.
He was carrying a large kitchen knife and a backpack.
