Sidus Space Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) announced that it is proud to celebrate its critical role in NASA’s historic Artemis I mission by supporting the ground and flight hardware for the Earth Exploration Systems Mobile Launcher 1 , the Orion spacecraft, the SLS center stage, and the solid rocket boosters.
The space-as-a-service provider said Artemis I is the first in a series of complex missions that will set the stage for deep space exploration and long-term sustained human presence in the moon.
“We have been rooted in this program since its early stages and understand the mission and the importance of our contributions,” Sidus Space CEO Carol Craig said in a statement.

Sidus noted that Artemis I is scheduled to launch on August 29, 2022, when the Orion spacecraft and Space Launch System (SLS) rocket lift off for the first time from Launch Complex 39B at the modernized Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
