This led to a police chase that was captured on video at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Pitt River Road and showed a black Mercedes sedan traveling at high speed in pursuit.
The vehicle stopped on Highway 1 in Coquitlam near the IKEA store.
Witness Randy Kang said he left his job at 4pm at Lougheed Acura and saw several police vehicles.
He then saw police officers chasing two people. One of those people fell to the ground and was surrounded by police, while the second was chased.
Kang heard what sounded like three shots, but the person being chased didn’t fall to the ground. I wasn’t sure what happened next.
