Kate Middleton has claimed talking therapy doesn’t work for everyone, just two days after Prince Harry’s memoir Spare was published.

The Princess of Wales commented that conventional types of therapy may not be beneficial for everyone in her first public appearance since the Duke of Sussex’s memoirs hit bookstores.

In it, Harry refers to his own therapy sessions, uses psychotherapy language that includes “trauma” and details his experiences with PTSI (Post Traumatic Stress Injury). Harry even thanks the therapists who helped him in the acknowledgments of the book.

King Charles III also made his first public appearance since the book’s launch where he asked if he was “hurt” by Spare’s comments.

The king did not answer any questions about his son’s memoirs.

Harry’s intense relationship with Prince William and Kate is exposed in Spare, which has become the best-selling non-fiction book in history, while a survey has found that Harry’s popularity has fallen since of its publication.

Harry, no… Why Spare is a step too far even for this royal fan

“Wait. Say that again. Are their names Willy and Harold? Was Harry’s necklace broken? Was he hurt by a dog bowl!?!?!

“The explosive account of a quarrel between Prince Harry and Prince William, from Harry Spare’s forthcoming memoir, contains the kind of intimate, incidental detail that usually makes me giddy with disbelief,” writes Jessie Thompson.

“I’m the kind of casual royal watcher who has vague political views on inherited privilege, but who grabs a new Tina Brown book like it’s a tasty mojito.

“I watch new seasons of The Crown in one sitting. I’ve even googled ‘Princess Margaret in young sunglasses.’

Prince Harry ‘revolted against military family’ by revealing killings in Afghanistan, ex-colonel says

Colonel Tim Collins, known for a pre-battle speech he gave in Iraq, said Harry’s behavior was “not how we behave in the military”.

It comes as the Duke faces intense backlash after writing about his time in Afghanistan in his controversial memoir, Spare.

Harry wrote that flying six missions during his second stint on the front line between 2012 and 2013 resulted in “the loss of human life”, which he was neither proud of nor ashamed of.

TK Maxx denies Prince Harry’s claim about the shopping retailer’s annual sales

TK Maxx denied Prince Harry’s claim about shopping at the retailer during its annual sales, which he mentioned in his new memoir, Spare.

In his book, which was published on January 10, the Duke of Sussex reflected on shopping at TK Maxx during its ‘once a year sale’. However, TK Maxx has now responded to the royal’s claim, pointing out that its stores do not “do sales”.

“While we’re delighted that Prince Harry is a huge fan, we thought we should explain that we don’t actually do sales,” a spokesperson for the brand told the Express. “Instead, we offer great value, style and year-round savings.”

The response from TK Maxx, which is known as TJ Maxx in the US, comes after Harry stated how much he enjoys shopping for his everyday clothes at the department store.

Prince Harry and Meghan less popular than Andrew among over-65s, new poll shows

Prince Harry and Meghan are now less popular than disgraced royal Prince Andrew among the over-65s after making explosive revelations in Spare, according to a new poll.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seen their poll numbers plummet after Harry used his new memoir and TV interviews to discuss the ongoing row with the royal family.

A new YouGov poll found that 73% of over-65s in Britain have a “very” negative view of Harry. 69 percent had the same view of the Duchess.

This compares with 60 per cent for Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his military titles and patronage in January over allegations of sexual assault, which he denies.

Kate Middleton claims ‘talk therapy’ doesn’t work for everyone after Prince Harry frees Spare

Kate Middleton has claimed talking therapy doesn’t work for everyone, just two days after Prince Harry’s memoir Spare was published.

The Princess of Wales commented that conventional types of therapy may not be beneficial for everyone in her first royal engagement since the Duke of Sussex’s memoirs hit bookstores.

In it, Harry refers to his own therapy sessions, uses psychotherapy language that includes “trauma” and details his experiences with PTSI (Post Traumatic Stress Injury). Harry even thanks the therapists who helped him in the acknowledgments of the book.

Prince Harry says he sees his mother Diana in Archie and Lilibet: ‘The Spencer gene is very, very strong’

Prince Harry has opened up about the ‘ginger gene’ he passed on from his mother to his son and daughter, and why he didn’t think his and Meghan Markle’s children would inherit their hair colour.

The Duke of Sussex talked about the couple’s son Archie, three, and daughter Lilibet, one, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday (January 10).

During the conversation, which saw the royal and late-night host discuss Harry Spare’s memoir while downing shots of tequila, Colbert asked the Duke if he saw any of his late family members in his children and Meghan’s

“Having children helps us remember those we have lost. Do you see your mother or your grandparents in any of your children?” Colbert asked the duke while showing a family portrait of Harry, Meghan and their two children.

Voices | The important health sign that more people need to recognize as Harry did

In this piece for Independent Voices, Brooke Metz writes:

In his new memoir Spare, Prince Harry explores his own experience with panic attacks. He describes still having to attend events and even speak at them, much to his dismay. Anxiety was rarely discussed then, and certainly not among members of the royal family.

Even just a few years ago, people didn’t talk about mental health issues as much as they do now. While anxiety has become almost a buzzword over the past couple of years, with all levels of nervousness being known as the disorder, it wasn’t always this way.

I used to talk about my panic attacks in whispers and with a pink face, as if calling my mental illness by its name, out loud, would make people see me in a different light. But I was the same person I had always been. I just had a name for my oftentimes inability to breathe, and it didn’t mean a trip to the emergency room.

I’m glad society is at a point where words like “anxiety disorder” and “panic attack” can be used without the need to blush or make excuses. They have nothing to be ashamed of. And whether you’re a royal prince or an American like me, you deserve attention and support.

Prince Harry compares Diana’s perfume to a tab of LSD

Prince Harry has revealed how the smell of Princess Diana’s perfume helped him cope with her death, comparing it to “a tab of LSD”.

In Spare, he notes how his therapist urged him to reflect on what he remembered of his mother, including the “bedtime hours at Kensington Palace,” when he would go from “inhaling her perfume” to after ” lying in bed.”

“We’re breaking up,” Harry’s therapist told him. “We’re not stopping there.”

The royal then revealed that during one of his therapy sessions, he brought “a bottle of mum’s favorite perfume into the office”, before explaining how it felt to smell it.

“First, from Van Cleef & Arpels. At the beginning of our session, I lifted the lid, took a deep sniff. Like an LSD tab,” he wrote.

JR Moehringer, the ghostwriter who helped Prince Harry tell his story

The two boys grew up 20 years and nearly 3,500 kilometers apart, both navigating parental dysfunction, both wandering to find their places in very different worlds. One was a prince; one was much closer to the poor end of the spectrum. Both would be the same parents when their professional paths crossed.

When it did happen, however unlikely, ghostwriter JR Moehringer’s team-up with the Duke of Sussex would lead to one of the most explosive memoirs in living memory. Prince Harry controversially bares his soul on the spare, but it was Moehringer who put royal history on paper.

Sheila Flynn tells her story:
