New video shows the horrific multi-car crash at the Windsor Hills intersection that killed 6 people

At least six people, including a baby and a pregnant woman, were killed in a fiery crash involving at least six cars at an intersection in the Windsor Hills area of ​​Los Angeles.

Shocking new surveillance footage of the crash shows a seemingly normal intersection, with traffic flowing at a reasonable pace, before a black Mercedes rockets through a red light.

The accident was reported shortly before 2 p.m. at La Brea and Slauson avenues. The CHP said four to five people, including an infant and a pregnant woman, died in the crash and fires.

Eight people were taken to hospital with injuries. Six children and two adults suffered minor injuries, authorities said. The five dead were declared as such at the scene.

Around 8 p.m., CHP reported that an additional body was found in one of the vehicles that had been engulfed in flames, bringing the death toll to six.

Two of the three burned cars stopped under a gas station sign. Another appeared to have rolled onto its roof near the entrance to the gas station in the community about 10 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Video from a witness showed a plume of black smoke rising from one of the cars.

Another witness said one of the drivers appeared to be turning left before the crash.

“The two of them right there exploded, just shooting everywhere,” the witness said.

Debris has been scattered at the crossing, where there have been several ambulances.
