Matthew Tkachuk will have a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Sunday.
The Florida Panthers forward faces discipline from Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick on Saturday.
The incident occurred with 39 seconds left in the third period of Florida’s 5-4 loss at Crypto.com Arena. Tkachuk did not receive a penalty on the play. Quick stayed in the game after being watched by the Kings’ training staff.
The following grounds are being considered for additional discipline: high adherence. However, the Player Safety Department reserves the right to make adjustments to the violation upon review.
