An Enerex worker was mauled to death by dogs while trying to read a meter on a Queensland property this morning.
The 42-year-old man was found unconscious with serious injuries in the front yard of a gated property on Ison Road in Greenbank.
The Marsden man was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was declared a crime scene after police and emergency services arrived at the home just before 11am.
Police found three large mixed-breed dogs inside the yard and handed them over to the council’s animal control officers.
The owners were not on the property at the time.
Neighbor Kevin Cunnington spoke to 9News about the tragedy.
“Oh terrible… like before Christmas. Bloke’s just doing his job and now he’s dead.”
Ison Road was closed while detectives and scientific officers examined the scene.
Enerex Area Manager Kevin Lavender told 9News “our deepest condolences go out to his family, his friends and his co-workers.”
Acting Queensland Police Inspector Gary Worrell said a report would be prepared for the coroner as investigations into the incident continued.
“Energex has a really good system where they email and contact the owners of known places where dogs are used to protect family homes or where they know there are aggressive dogs,” he told 9News.
Work Safe Australia has been notified that the man was working in the Greenbank area at the time.
