Meghan Markle’s podcast guest implies the Duchess didn’t interview her

The controversy of Meghan Markle archetypes The podcast is climbing the charts, but is it really talking to its on-air guests?

One of Markle’s former podcast guests has sparked speculation that he never spoke to the duchess for the interview, reports the New York Post.

Allison Yarrow – author of B*tch of the 90s: media, culture and the failed promise of gender equality — appeared on the podcast in an episode titled To ‘B’ or not to ‘B’ in which the royal talked about how calling a woman “difficult” is “a key word for the B-word.”

“Etymologists believe that the word ‘b*tch’ came from this Greek slur that meant women were dogs in heat, begging for men, that was the idea,” Yarrow explained in the episode. “And there was a more modern definition that was written in the 1890s and it was that ‘b*tch’ was an Appalachian, that was the worst name an English woman could be called, even worse than a wh**e”.

Yarrow’s explanations and comments are apparently edited and interspersed between the Duchess of Sussex’s comments in the podcast audio, the daily mail reported

Meanwhile, in a resurfaced Instagram post from August, Yarrow shared a photo of himself after the “Archetypes” interview in front of a poster for audio production house Gimlet Media and thanked a producer for being “an excellent interviewer”.

“Excited to be included in the visionary #Archetypes series hosted by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, aims to dissect and subvert the archetypes that hold women back,” Yarrow wrote in the caption.

“Congratulations to producer @farrahsafari (an excellent interviewer) and the folks at @Gimlet @Spotify who pull this off,” he added.

With Yarrow’s seemingly shady caption, some social media watchers are now speculating that Markle isn’t doing the work with the podcast guests, but in other episodes she’s obviously been seen having full-on conversations with guests, like Jameela Jamil. , Serena Williams, Paris Hilton and Mindy Kaling.

The Post has reached out to Yarrow, Gimlet Media and Markle’s representatives for comment.

While the episodes feature the 41-year-old royal in deep conversation with A-list celebrities and friends, they also have clips of experts, academics and authors talking about specific topics, including Yarrow, Dr Laura Kay and the sociologist Nancy Wang Yuen.

The experts’ audio clips have been cut and interspersed between Markle’s audio, so it’s unclear whether or not she spoke to any or all of the experts.
