I will sue my jailers, vows Serpent serial killer Charles Sobhraj’s release

The French serial killer released from a life sentence in Nepal for health reasons returned to Paris yesterday promising to sue his captors.

Charles Sobhraj, 78, whose killing was portrayed in the BBC series The Serpent, said: “I feel very good … I have a lot to do. I have to sue a lot of people, including the state from Nepal”.

He spoke to the AFP news agency on the plane after his deportation from Nepal, where he had served 19 years of a life sentence.
