Fortnite is about to get much, much weirder, as impossible as it sounds. After months of introducing a wide variety of crossover guest characters, its latest chapter will kick off with an even stronger cast of heroes. Season 1 of Chapter 4 will give players the chance to play as Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher, Doom Slayer from Doom, The Hulk of Marvel fame and even Deku from My Hero Academia.
They’re all featured in the battle royale’s latest cinematic trailer, which also reveals slick new graphics and gameplay mechanics coming soon.
Chapter 4 will introduce the biggest changes to the game yet, so it makes sense to highlight new blockbuster characters as they arrive. In addition to these coveted pop culture icons, Epic Games is revamping the look and feel of the game with improved resolution and textures. When players download the game’s latest update, they’ll be greeted by brilliant visuals, thanks to an Unreal Engine 5.1 migration.
A newly designed explorable island will take full advantage of these improvements.

In this location, players will be able to visit a tall castle, snowy mountains, and farmland, all of which can now be traversed with dirt bikes or new air launch moves that will launch your character into the sky. Along the way, you’ll also be able to augment reality by deploying new abilities, some of which upgrade your weaponry and gliders.

As you progress through the new content, you’ll also be able to start snagging a new Season Battle Pass, which gives everyone access to Doom Slayer and Geralt, as well as other characters, including The Ageless (an original boss). ) and Selene, a new celestial hero.
Later in the season, Hulk will join this crew through the item shop, and Deku will join him later in the first season. More heroes are likely to join the fray in Fortnite in the coming weeks and months. With each new chapter, the game gets a little weirder as more wild guest stars appear.
