CNN –
Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin tweeted Sunday that he will watch from home as the Bills open their playoff campaign against the Miami Dolphins in Orchard Park, New York.
“My heart goes out to my guys as they compete today!” Hamlin tweeted. “Supporting from home while I focus on my recovery. I want nothing more than to be there with them! LFG #BillsMafia”
The tweet comes a day after Hamlin visited the team’s facility at Orchard Park in New York, according to ESPN and the Associated Press.
Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer’s daughter, Brooke, tweeted that Hamlin was at practice.
“I saw Damar today and it blew my mind! What a miracle to see him walk. We are blessed!” she wrote. “More prayers needed! It was a beautiful time for the boys!”
Hamlin was seen smiling as he waved to another person who was not on camera in a photo posted to Instagram by Bills linebacker Matt Milano.
Neither Hamlin’s representatives nor the Bills have responded to CNN’s request for comment.
The 24-year-old was released from Buffalo General Medical Center on Wednesday after spending more than a week in the hospital after going into cardiac arrest on the field during a Jan. 2 road game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hamlin was initially hospitalized in Cincinnati, but was transferred to the Buffalo facility on Monday after doctors determined his critical condition had improved enough for transfer.
The Bills are scheduled to play the Miami Dolphins in the NFL’s Wild Card round on Sunday.
