The experienced 37-year veteran is poised to meet the second year of his contract with United, but for now he doesn’t seem impressed by the club’s lack of productivity in the market after such a disappointing campaign.
The new coach, Erik ten Hag, was in place before the last game of the 2021/22 season, but the Dutchman has yet to secure reinforcements for his disappointing team, as talks continue with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong.

However, it hasn’t stopped Ten Hag from getting hurt, while Ajax winger Antony also has a strong interest.
Old Trafford bosses have now held informal talks over a deal for the 22-year-old Brazilian, who won the Eredivisie title under United’s new coach last season.
Still, there is no evidence to suggest that a deal is imminent with the expectation that United will open the bid at £ 40m, £ 20m less than Ajax’s £ 60m valuation.

The Portuguese international has already held talks with Ten Hag about his plans for the new season and stated in early May that United fans should give the Dutchman time to change clubs.
“What I do know about him is that he did a fantastic job for Ajax, which is an experienced coach,” Ronaldo told ManUtd.com. “But we have to give it time.
“Things have to change the way he wants. I hope we succeed, of course, because if you succeed, the whole of Manchester will succeed too. I wish him all the best.
“We are happy and excited, not only as players, but also as fans. I wish him all the best and we believe that next year we will win trophies.”
