Chloe Lattanzi’s heartbreaking final promise to her mother Olivia Newton-John

Olivia Newton-John’s death was announced by her devastated family in a heartbreaking statement on Monday.

The Grease star died aged 73 in the US after a 30-year battle with cancer.

And now, daughter Chloe Lattanzi’s latest engagement to her ailing mother has been revealed.

Just months before Olivia’s death, Chloe, 36, vowed to be by her mother’s side “always and forever” as she shared a photo gallery of the pair together on Facebook.

‘Always and forever mom. i have you I see you. I will walk with you to the ends of the earth without asking questions. #rideordielove,” Chloe captioned her post.

It comes after Olivia revealed on the A Life of Greatness podcast a year ago about her deep faith and the covenant she made with God while pregnant with daughter Chloe, now 36, in the 1980s.

Just months before Olivia’s death, Chloe, 36, vowed to be by her mother’s side “always and forever” as she shared a photo gallery of the pair together on Facebook.

“I remember when I was pregnant with Chloe and I was about to lose her,” Olivia explained on the podcast.

“I went to bed and asked God to save her and if he did I would say the Lord’s prayer every night for the rest of my life and I have.”

He added: “I think prayer is very powerful.”

Olivia also shared her thoughts on death and faith, saying she believed there was something after death.

– Have you contemplated your death? the podcast host asked.

“I have a lot of times that was a possibility earlier than I wanted,” Olivia said.

‘We all know we’re going to die… I think we spend our lives denying it. It is extremely personal. It’s hard for me to put it into words, I feel like we’re all part of something, I’ve had experiences with spirits or spirit life, I’ve felt the spirit world and I’ve heard things, that I think there’s something going on.’

Olivia also shared her thoughts on death and faith, saying she believed there was something after death.

Olivia’s death was announced by her husband John Easterling on Monday morning on his social media pages.

Chloe, who has followed in her mother’s singing footsteps, shared a number of touching pictures of herself with her mum in the years since the announcement.

“Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends,” Easterling wrote.

“We ask that everyone respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.

The family requested that donations be made to her cancer organization, the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, in lieu of flowers.

The actress beat breast cancer twice, but was diagnosed again in 2017.

She spent her last few years at home, campaigning for animal rights and raising money for her charity online.

She was also a strong advocate for the use of medical cannabis for treatment in Australia.
