A gunman has killed at least 13 people and wounded 21 others at a school in central Russia, local police said.
Russia’s Investigative Committee said in an online statement that the dead included two guards, two teachers and five students at the school in Izhevsk, a city about 960 kilometers east of Moscow, in the Udmurtia region.
The injured were 14 children and 7 adults, the committee said.
Alexander Brechalov, the governor of the Udmurtia region, said in a video statement that the as-yet-unidentified gunman shot himself.

According to the Investigative Committee, the gunman was wearing a black T-shirt with “Nazi symbols”.
No other details about the shooter or his motive have been released.
The school educates children between 1st and 11th grade.
The school has been evacuated and the surrounding area has been cordoned off, an official said.
