September 26, 2022 – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and the St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that an outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared at St. Joseph, in Thunder Bay. The outbreak is confined to 5 North, Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitative Care.
TBDHU has initiated a comprehensive assessment of the situation. Further action will be taken as necessary to manage this situation.
Before the outbreak, important measures were already in place to reduce the likelihood of virus transmission in the hospital.
