BERRY PUT TOWARDS THE LIONS

Brisbane Lions forward Tom Berry has reportedly requested a trade to city rivals Gold Coast.

Berry played just three senior games in 2022, with AFL Media reporting the 22-year-old had requested a move to the Suns.

He has played 20 AFL games since being selected with the No. 36 in 2018, playing for the Lions alongside brother Jarrod.

Berry will play a pressing small forward role in line for Izak Rankine, who will be loaned to Adelaide this off-season.

Gold Coast are actively looking to trade contract signing Jack Bowes along with No.7 pick in order to free up salary cap space for the coming seasons.

THE EAGLES COME CLOSE TO SECURE THE DEMON

West Coast have reportedly increased their bid for Demons speedster Jayden Hunt 9 News Perth.

Hunt, who played 20 games in 2021 but missed the club’s win after a season-ending ankle injury, made another 20 senior appearances this year.

AFL media reported last week that the Eagles had shown interest in Hunt.

O’Halloran in October 2020 re-signed with the Giants for a further two years, despite preliminary interest from rival clubs, including Essendon, Geelong, Brisbane and the Western Bulldogs, towards the end of the season.

The player, who was drafted out of the Western Jets, has played just 33 games with the Giants in four seasons, with six of those as a starting medical replacement.
