UVALDE, Texas: A steady stream of mourning, many driving from other cities as they left behind other Memorial Day plans, came to Robb Elementary School on Saturday afternoon to pay tribute to the 19 schoolchildren and two teachers killed in a classroom days before.
A line of about 100 people waited quietly across the street from the school with flowers, cardboard hearts, balloons and stuffed animals. Some held umbrellas to block the Texas sun from the 95-degree heat.
