Two women shot dead in Sydney’s south-west

Two women have been shot dead in south-west Sydney, the latest in a series of deadly shootings in the city.

Emergency services were called to a home in Weston Street, Revesby, just before 8.50pm on Saturday, where they found the couple, aged 36 and 48, inside a car.

NSW paramedics tried to save the 48-year-old, but he died at the scene.

The 36-year-old woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition, where she later died.

A man and woman, who were uninjured, were also inside the vehicle when emergency services arrived.

Police said at least three burnt out cars were located nearby in Moorebank, Lagoona and Revesby. It is not yet known if the cars are connected to the shooting.

The incident is under investigation and a crime scene has been established.

It is not known if the incident is related to the recent shootings in Sydney.
