The NBA free agency is up and running at a fast pace. Starting Thursday evening, teams and players could officially start negotiating new contracts. However, NBA fans didn’t have to wait that long for some important news. A few hours before the opening of the free agency, Kevin Durant requested a change outside the Brooklyn Nets. KD’s application is sending shock waves across the league and having one of the best basketball players on the bargaining block will dictate how many teams operate this off-season.
Zach LaVine and the Bulls agreed to a five-year, $ 215 million supermax deal to return to Chicago, while Bradley Beal reached a five-year, $ 251 million supermax deal with the Wizards. James Harden is still available, but is expected to sign again with the 76ers.
Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson agreed to a four-year, $ 104 million deal with the New York Knicks. In addition, former No. 1 general Deandre Ayton could leave the Suns this summer. Hornets striker Miles Bridges, meanwhile, is a restricted free agent, but was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles.
