Meghan Markle has stopped releasing new episodes of her podcast, Archetypes, following the Queen’s death.
A message posted on the Duchess of Sussex’s Spotify page said: “New episodes of Archetypes will be paused during Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s official period of mourning.”
Three full episodes of the series have already been released since its launch on August 23rd.
In her first installment, she opened up to friend Serena Williams about the horrifying moment she discovered her four-month-old baby Archie’s nursery had caught fire during her royal tour of the South -Africa in 2019, luckily while he wasn’t there. – and then he had been forced to attend a royal engagement.
Meghan also revealed how her life changed when she joined the royal family, claiming she had “felt the negativity” of being labeled “ambitious”.
“So I don’t remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word ambitious until I started dating my now-husband,” she said.
“And apparently ambition is, uh… a terrible, terrible thing for a woman who is, according to some. So, because I’ve heard the negativity behind it, it’s very hard to dis- feel it
“Nor can I help but see it in the millions of girls and women who get smaller, much smaller, on a regular basis.”
News of her podcast hiatus comes after she and her husband Prince Harry made a surprise appearance alongside her estranged brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton outside Windsor Castle on Saturday.
The outing, which was to greet mourners and see the many tributes to the Queen, marked the first time the four royals had appeared together in public in more than two years.
It later emerged that the surprise meeting came after a text from Prince William to Prince Harry, inviting him and Meghan to join the Cambridges on their outing.
A senior Palace source said The sun: “The Prince of Wales invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to join him and the Princess of Wales earlier.
“The Prince of Wales thought it was an important show of unity for the Queen at an incredibly difficult time for the family.”
However, it wasn’t exactly a straightforward deal: sources also claimed that the negotiations leading up to the meeting were so complex that they caused a 45-minute delay in his arrival.
