Marjorie Taylor Greene abandoned by right-wing reporters when a bigger Republican arrives

A pair of reporters for the conservative Right Side Broadcasting Network covering former President Donald Trump’s rally for the Republican candidates in Pennsylvania, Dr. Mehmet Oz and Doug Mastriano, left Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene hanging in mid-sentence when they saw the gubernatorial candidate arrive at the event.

Ms. Greene was discussing campaign tactics and going over a litany of right-wing talking points with reporters when Pennsylvania’s Republican gubernatorial candidate, Mastriano, arrived on the scene.

“The traditional GOP, the traditional ‘Republican parties’ tend to keep outsiders out, but we have to keep people coming in, successful people,” Ms. Green said before a cheering crowd drew reporters’ attention.

One of the RSBN reporters broke away from Ms. Greene and ran to try to catch Mr. Mastriano, calling him by name.

“Oh,” Ms. Greene said as reporters broke off and ran toward Mr. Mastriano.

Ms. Greene spoke later that night at the Wilkes-Barre rally, repeating Trump’s fraudulent claims that he was robbed of the 2020 election.

“You want to know something else, Pennsylvania? President Trump won the 2020 election,” he said. “That’s right, we know President Trump won.”

That claim has been debunked multiple times after multiple Republican-led vote audit efforts confirmed that Joe Biden won the election. Ultimately, Biden won Pennsylvania in 2020.

Mr. Mastriano also praised the former president, who has endorsed him in the state’s gubernatorial race, calling him a “champion of 9/11.” The former president boasted after 9/11 that his building was the tallest tower in Manhattan after the Twin Towers fell, his building was the tallest in the city. This statement was also incorrect.

Mr Trump, meanwhile, went on a two-hour rant in which he denounced the FBI’s seizure of classified government documents from his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida and repeated claims that he won the election .

The former president falsely claimed that he “ran twice, won twice” and teased that he “might just have to do it again,” even though he has yet to officially announce his candidacy for the election presidential elections of 2024.
