FORTY members of the Bannockburn Chamber of Commerce gathered last week to celebrate the publication of the organisation’s second annual Bannockburn and District business directory.
The sixty page color brochure has been designed to promote local businesses and encourage people living in the Bannockburn area to support businesses, services and businesses close to home when they need it.
President Bronwyn Davie said 85 companies are featured in this edition.
“The directory has been produced by chamber volunteers such as Emma Jennings from On Track Virtual and Leanne Adams from Will Design, and was printed by Print Design Australia,” he said.
“We have also brought in some new community pages to encourage people to use local services, for example there is a page sponsored by Corangamite member Libby Coker on childcare options.
“It will be distributed through member companies and can be picked up at the local mall.”
The launch event at Bannockburn Bowls Club was also an opportunity for the chamber to welcome new members, with businesses receiving certificates.
“The bowling club also got a new member this year. They have an ad in the directory and we’ve published an article about their new lights,” Ms Davie said.
“We look forward to using them as members as much as we can and will aim to do some fun networking events with greens businesses in the future.”
Ms Coker also attended, and members of the Bannockburn SES, including Daryl Jeran, made a presentation, calling for support to establish a new and updated facility.
