As of today, Quebec reports a total of 493 cases of monkeypox in the province.
In its latest update on Friday, the Public Health Agency of Canada reported 1,228 cases across nine provinces, with 35 hospitalizations and no deaths.
Monkeypox is spread when people have close physical contact with an infected person’s lesions, clothing, or bedding, and symptoms may also include a rash, swollen lymph nodes, and fever.
