There are a number of Premier League sides scrambling to get some late transfer deals on the line with the deadline fast approaching. The likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with more players, and reinforcements are still needed after the start of the campaign last weekend.
United appear to have finally given up hope of signing Frenkie de Jong, but are said to be working on up to four deals, including Adrien Rabiot, who is understood to be close to completing his move from Juventus.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are in the market for a new centre-back and striker and could yet land United target De Jong if the Dutchman cannot agree a deal with Barcelona.
Arsenal, Newcastle and Leeds are expected to splash the cash on at least one new face each, although they have already strengthened their squads, while Liverpool could also make a move for someone in the midst of something of a injury crisis
