The Blues take an early lead
Meanwhile, in Adelaide, after 19 minutes, the Blues trail by five points, 2.0.12 to 1.1.7.

Dangerfield breaks Geelong’s drought
Dangerfield finally stops the bleeding for the Cats, and after being brought up by Bontempelli and winning the free-kick, sneaks home a seven-pointer from 40 yards in front.
After 21 minutes, the Cats finally get their first goal and end the Dogs’ four-goal streak.
It is a ball game of 19 points in favor of the visitors, 4.2.26 to 1.1.7.

The Bulldogs obviously haven’t received a script for Joel Selwood’s 350th game.
They are killing the cats. Weightman joins the action and after 19 minutes the Dogs have scored the first four goals.

They are making mincemeat of the Cats in spaces 10-3.

The Englishman wins a free-kick for being made too high in the ruck contest and nails the spot-kick from close range into the pocket.

Tonight is a big night in Geelong as Cats skipper Joel Selwood plays his 350th game against the Western Bulldogs.
Not only does he become the 21st player in VFL/AFL history to achieve the milestone, he also becomes the first Geelong player to do so.

A nervous Hannebery escapes unscathed
After the game, Hannebery tells Fox Footy he felt more nervous than he had before his first game in almost a year, saying you never know how the body will respond after so many injury setbacks.
And he was pretty impressive with 27 disposals (10 contested), five clearances, seven scoreboard appearances and one goal.
