Harry Styles and Chris Pine have been spotted reuniting months after their ‘Spitgate’ video went viral.
The Don’t worry honey Their co-stars were pictured hugging in Brazil on Tuesday in a video posted on TikTok, after Styles was accused of spitting on Pine’s lap at the film’s disastrous Venice premiere in September. New York Post reports
Styles, 28, wore a black shirt with his hair in a top knot, while Pine, 42, was all smiles in a white T-shirt as they drank with pals.
Although neither actor has directly denied the alleged scandal, Pine’s rep said Page Six in September that the spat story was a “complete fabrication”.
A spokesperson for the Emmy nominee called the story “ridiculous” at the time, stating, “There is nothing but respect between these two men, and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create a drama that simply doesn’t exist.”
Styles, meanwhile, joked with those in attendance at Madison Square Garden the next day that he “went to Venice to spit on Chris Pine.”
The Grammy winner’s then-girlfriend, director Olivia Wilde, told talk show host Stephen Colbert at the time that Styles “didn’t spit.”
“I think it’s a perfect example of people looking for drama wherever they can,” he said.
Wilde and Styles have since called it quits, with news of their split last month after nearly two years together.
Wilde, who has son Otis, 8, and daughter Daisy, 6, with ex Jason Sudeikis, made headlines Tuesday for rocking a nipple-baring Dior dress on the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards.
Many social media users are referring to Wilde’s bold fashion choice as her “revenge outfit.”
She and the British musician “have no bad blood,” a source said Page Six in November, she said the breakup was “the right thing” for the duo.
“Harry didn’t dump Olivia, or vice versa,” the source claimed.
“They’re on break. It’s impossible to have a relationship when he’s on every continent next year and Olivia has her job and her kids.”
