The death of Tyler Sanders is being treated as a suspicion of an overdose … sources linked to the investigation of the death tell TMZ.
We’re told that Tyler, who had roles in big shows like “9-1-1: Lone Star” and “Fear the Walking Dead,” had a history of drug use and police found a plastic straw and white powder in the room where he died.
TMZ told the story … Tyler, 18, was found dead June 16 at his Los Angeles home.
Our sources say Tyler’s friends called the police to do a wellness check because they hadn’t heard from him after one night … and that’s what caused his body to be discovered. .
Tyler was buried in Houston … and someone who attended the funeral tells us that Tyler’s father, David Sanders, praised him and told the crowd that Tyler died of an apparent drug overdose.

We are told that Tyler started fighting depression when he started filming ‘9-1-1’ and his father repeated some of Tyler’s words at his funeral, talking about how Tyler’s brain was connected to where he could not feel happiness.
The coroner will determine an official cause of Tyler’s death once toxicology reports return within 4 to 6 months.
