September 27, 2022 – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and the St. Joseph’s Care Group confirm that the outbreak of COVID-19 was declared on September 26, 2022 at the Hospital of St. Joseph 5 North, Geriatric Assessment and Rehabilitation Services, in Thunder Bay , has expanded to include 5 South.
TBDHU has initiated a comprehensive assessment of the situation. Further action will be taken as necessary to manage this situation.
Before the outbreak, important measures were already in place to reduce the likelihood of virus transmission in the hospital.
